This is the old, back path to the Castle of Murten.
The Castle dates To the times of count of Peter of Savoy II who ordered its construction in 1255. Today it houses the Canton of Fribourgs Lake district Prefecture.

What a wonderful photo, Felicia... I can just feel the magic this image exudes! Castles have always fascinated me; especially the older ones. When I worked for Pan American World Airways my wife and I had the privilege of visiting many countries in Europe, and we loved your beautiful Switzerland most of all!
